And why? Because the President's plan to secure the border is in the wrong order. He wants to create a guest worker program increasing the number of legal residents so that our full employment economy doesn't tank when the enforcement begins. SAN ANTONIO, Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Texas Gov. Rick Perry has drawn criticism from rival candidates for saying he agrees non-Christians are condemned to spend eternity in hell.

Perry was among some 60 mostly Republican candidates for Tuesday's midterm election attending a Sunday service at San Antonio's Cornerstone Church, where pastor John Hagee said in his sermon non-Christians were "going straight to hell with a non-stop ticket," The Dallas Morning News reported.

Afterward, Perry told reporters there was nothing in the sermon he could disagree with, prompting quick condemnations from opponents.

"He doesn't think very differently from the Taliban, does he?" said independent candidate Kinky Friedman. "Being obsessed with who's going to heaven and who's going to hell is kind of a pathetic waste of time."

Democrat Chris Bell said a state leader should have been more cautious in his remarks.

"God is the only one who can make the decision as to who gets into the kingdom of heaven," Bell said.

My what a difference two days makes. The big news should be Ohio. Brown's lead has eroded from 12.2% to 7.7% over the weekend. The only Democrat gaining ground in the battleground states is Stabenow. That's a Democrat lock. The other Democrats are either moving horizontally or are dropping in the polls. Almost everywhere you look, Republicans are gaining.

Again, I took the RCP Averages and then shifted them 5% towards the Republicans. Although no seats have changed hands since Friday, NJ is close.

Analysis: The races are definitely shifting towards the Republicans. These numbers show the Democrats stealing Pennsylvania and Ohio from the Republicans and the Republicans stealing Maryland from the Democrats. That's +1 for the Democrats far short of the 6 they need to take the Senate. But look at how close these races are. I don't think anybody can predict what is going to happen on Tuesday.

This article has a quote from Harold Ford Jr. that backs up what I've been saying.

The latest Mason-Dixon Tennessee Poll, conducted by telephone Wednesday through Friday, showed Corker leading Ford 50-38 percent among 625 likely voters. Two weeks ago, the poll -- sponsored by The Commercial Appeal, the Chattanooga Times-Free Press, MSNBC and McClatchy Newspapers -- gave Corker a 45-43 lead.

Ford changed his campaign schedule Saturday to fly from Knoxville back to Memphis to condemn the poll and encourage supporters.

"In all of these polls, the methodology has to be questioned," Ford said Saturday afternoon at a rally at the corner of Poplar and Highland. "All internal polls show this race as a dead heat."

Ford added that the polls don't reflect early votes, which totaled 867,000 statewide. In Shelby County, 142,411 people, nearly a quarter of all registered voters, cast absentee and early ballots.

So the polls are Scripture when they show Democrats winning but can't be trusted when they don't? I agree with an email read on Fox News this morning. Its time to ban all polls.

A Rasmussen Poll via Ace shows high Democrat party identification. He thinks this is a troubling sign. I think it means Republicans aren't answering when the pollsters call. I've been watching Rasmussen this entire election cycle. They've started "adjusting" their polls based on monthly average party identification. In other words, their polls don't mean shit. They're skewed towards the Democrats.

Jim Geraghty via Ace has it right. We've seen a lot of huge swings this election. When a poll moves 10 points in one day, there's something fucked up.

I think Republicans are in for a pleasant suprise on Tuesday and the topic of conversation at flower shops, abortion clinics, and gay bath houses across the country on Wednesday morning will be suicide. These liberals work so hard to get their hopes up every election just to be disappointed. Its very sad.

Theory: Its obvious that the press has worked hard to demoralize the Republican

base. They pissed off conservative Christians with Foley-gate. They pissed off fiscal conservatives by pointing out out-of-control the spending in congress. They pissed off the rest by playing up border security. It has worked. Some Republicans have decided to sit out this election and allow the Democrats to win. But I think this media strategy has had an unintended effect.

Think about this: if you were a hardcore Christian conservative, would you participate in a poll the day after Foley resigned? No, you wouldn't. You'd tell the pollster to fuck off and hang up the phone. All of the polls are reporting an increase in the number of Democrats responding. I could believe these "scandals" might cause some people not to vote but does anybody believe people are switching parties because of some gay guy in Florida?

Also, if you've watched Fox News anytime in the past week, you know that Republicans are depending on their superior get-out-the-vote machine.

I believe the polls are skewed towards the Democrats so I went race by race through Real Clear Politics to see what a 5% swing towards Republicans would look like.

Senate

The current United States Senate is comprised of 44 Democrats, 1 Asshole Independent, and 55 Republicans.

RCP has the Democrats picking up 6 seats, exactly what they would need to take over the Senate and impose communist rule on the country. The new Senate would be made up of 51 Democrats and 49 Republicans.

If you analyze the election district by district, the Democrats are projected to pick up 34 seats. The new House would be comprised of 236 Democrats and 198 Republicans. Nancy Pelosi would impeach Bush, establish tree worship as the official state religion, and ban all commerce.

Again, I went race by race and adjusted the numbers. I made judgements based on the closeness of the race, momentum, and other factors. For instance, I give TX-22 to the Republicans because a recent poll shows Gibbs close to winning even though she's a write-in candidate. But in each case, I only gave it to Republicans if they had a good chance to win.

The result is a list showing the Republicans losing only 8 seats. These election results would produce a congress of 226 Republicans and 210 Democrats. Average the two and the Democrats would gain 21 seats and the new congress would be 223 Democrats and 211 Republicans. The latter is more likely so I'm going to go with it.

My official prediction: Republicans retain control of the United States Senate with a 6 seat majority. The Democrats take control of the House with a 12 seat majority.

I'd like to be the first to apologise to the gay folks here and everywhere if I make comments that sound condescending to gay people while I make fun of the hypocrisy of the Outtages we are seeing Re: Haggard/Foley, etc.

I don't like seeing some of the comparisons going on, I've had plenty of gay pals and loved them to death.

BUT, at times I've said things to them that they felt were very ignorant and mean, and it wasn't my intention. They graciously forgave me for my ignorance, an I'm thankful for that.

Being straight I don't KNOW a lot of what the gay lifestyle involves, or some of the history, and I make mistakes. I've done the same with my black brothers. And women's rights. We've all been taught some intolerance and spend our lives trying to undo that teaching if we want to grow.

I HOPE that people don't associate all this CORRUPTION with the fact that some of these men were gay, whether they wanted to admit it or not. It's not the Gay Aspect of their lives, it's the Hypocrisy, same as if Bush makes a statement that he'll leave no child behind then doesn't fund it.

I want you to know that I have nothing but respect for many gay people (not the idiots or assholes which you find in every group), and feel sad that they are connected with this latest outing of corruption.

I think that many people here feel the same way. We love you, and we want you to feel safe and garner respect with all you contribute to society.

Like one of my black friends said when I asked him what he thought of the Black Issue. He said it wasn't an ISSUE to him. I loved that.

According to the report, Hatch's anger was first directed at Governor Pawlenty's reaction to the Dutcher dustup. "He wants to beat up on a woman," Hatch allegedly said.

Wente reportedly triggered more anger when he asked why Dutcher herself wasn't available for comment - Hatch reportedly said "You're nothing more than a Republican whore. Goodbye."

Leslie Sandberg, spokesman for the Hatch campaign, said that Hatch called the reporter a "hack" not a "whore." Hatch said the reporter recorded the exchange and insists that the tape will prove he said hack.

Maybe it was another botched joke. He left out the word 'us'. What he really meant was:

"You're nothing more than us a Republican whore. Goodbye."

And he was really talking about President Bush. Don't try to distract us, Karl Rove!

He'll also be first to whine like a little bitch when Republicans don't get anything done.  My high opinion of Michelle Malkin is the only thing that brings me back to Hotair.com. I once saw someone refer to Michelle Malkin as Diet Coulter.  If that's true, Allahpundit is Diet McCain.

Texas Border Watch

The Texas Border Watch Test Site is up. It requires an ActiveX control so its not Firefox friendly. Also, it seems only two of the cameras are working right now. A couple of them were just dead links.











Its a step in the right direction. As part of a comprehensive solution to the border problem, this website could greatly reduce the cost of guarding the border. If anybody from the program is reading this here are a few tips to help make it successful:

1. Use more than two cameras
2. Point the cameras at the border
3. Give the viewer some kind of context
(ex: This is a chainlink fence on the border near El Paso. If you see anybody with a sombrero trying to climb it, click the report button.)
4. Make it competitive
(ex: Report a real illegal border crossing and win this bitchin hat)

Sure its obvious that this website isn't ready to go live and the only reason why its up is because of the election (Governor Perry authorized it on June 1st). But is there anything wrong with that? Perry has pissed a lot of people off in Texas by cutting teachers' pay and not supporting caps on property taxes. But I support him and I think he should get credit for working to secure the border.



It doesn't matter, though, because Texas is solidly conservative. The Republican is going to win no matter what he does. The latest polls show Perry winning in a landslide.

The Bush administration did so under pressure from Congressional Republicans who said they hoped to “leverage the Internet” to find new evidence of the prewar dangers posed by Saddam Hussein. 
 But in recent weeks, the site has posted some documents that weapons experts say are a danger themselves: detailed accounts of Iraq’s secret nuclear research before the 1991 Persian Gulf war. The documents, the experts say, constitute a basic guide to building an atom bomb. 
 Last night, the government shut down the Web site after The New York Times asked about complaints from weapons experts and arms-control officials. A spokesman for the director of national intelligence said access to the site had been suspended “pending a review to ensure its content is appropriate for public viewing.”

1. Saddam may have had the bomb.  He was at least close to it.  As I understand it, building the bomb isn't as hard as is aquiring fissionable materials of an adequate grade.  Its possible Saddam had the ability to build a bomb in the 90s but didn't have the materials to build one.  Couple this with the FACT that the Iraqis WERE trying to get uranium in Niger, and you've got a pretty damn good case for the invasion.

2. Other translated documents from the website revealed that Saddam had an active program to create an aresol delivery method for anthrax.

This is going to backfire on the Democrats.

Prediction: Democrats fail to capture both the Senate and the House.

People who write blogs are usually either exceptionally knowledgeable (Ace, Michelle Malkin, etc.) or excrusiatingly self-absorbed (Allahpundit, Kos, etc.).  I have never considered myself either.  But, after careful consideration, I have decided:

a) I am bored.
b) It is cool to just copy what everybody else is doing.
c) What the hell, I'll create a blog.

Alas, "Deport All Leftists" is born.  Expect several months of mediocrity before I get bored with it and move on to something else.  May your Firefox live bookmarks folder be cluttered with this and hundreds of other dead blogs.

I'm just going to post things that interest me.  I don't actually expect anybody to care.
